Whilst we do use the Administration process, including the pre-pack process, and when the business case is right, the Company Voluntary Arrangement process, we do not deal with any other forms of insolvency. BSL is a division of the Goodman Financial Group run by the three executive directors, Paul Goodman, Richard Saville and Andrew Cordon.
Paul (Chairman of Goodman Financial Group) has 27 years in accountancy practices and industry roles. Paul set up Goodman Corporate Consultancy in Feb 2006 as a turnaround specialist assisting High Street Banks and their clients effecting turnarounds and growth. This work developed into commercial refinancing from a panel of 10 funders right through to the whole of market brokerage we operate today with a panel of 220+ lenders spanning the full commercial finance spectrum.
Paul is the currently in his third year as Chairman of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers [NACFB] and has been a board member for 7 years now.
Paul has worked on funding projects from £3,000 right up to the largest project of £580 million. Paul specialises in all aspects of Commercial Finance.
Richard started his insolvency career in 1978 with Spicer & Pegler (latterly Deloitte) in Nottingham before joining Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now PWC). Throughout his time with these two firms, Richard worked on a number of high profile, national and international cases as well as experiencing a two year secondment to Hong Kong, where he worked on three of the largest insolvency assignments in the territory at that time.
In 1994, Richard left to set up his own insolvency and turnaround practice, which over the years grew to a significant level and in 2002 was acquired by Begbies Traynor, with Richard staying on as the Midlands regional managing partner.
In 2015 Richard left to set up an independent insolvency and turnaround practice with several other long standing colleagues. Richard still acts as senior partner within that firm – CFS Restructuring LLP.
Richard has extensive financial and entrepreneurial knowledge over a wide spectrum of industries.
Andrew started his insolvency career in an East Midlands practice in 1996 and went on to work for a national and international firm before qualifying as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2008.
He has a reputation for providing straight forward candid business advice to directors and stakeholders experiencing difficulties and for finding the right solution efficiently and effectively.
Andrew has extensive experience in multi-site assignments and has established and excellent reputation amongst lenders and his peers alike.
Andrew teamed up with Richard in 2015 as a founder member of CFS Restructuring LLP.
